What is Aquatic Therapy?

IMG_5401.jpg

Aquatic therapy is a type of therapy that utilizes the properties of water to aid in rehabilitation and exercise. Water allows children to move more freely by relieving weight from the body and providing constant resistance and support to improve stability. Aquatic therapy integrates the unique knowledge, skills, and training of a physical therapist or occupational therapist and cannot be performed by an unlicensed individual, personal trainer, or swim instructor.

Splash of Water
"Ashley and Jax Kids Aquatics is amazing. My son has cerebral palsy among other diagnoses that make simple things harder for him. In the weeks Ashley worked with my son, we saw a huge improvement in his range of motion, flexibility and confidence in the water. Highly recommended to anyone looking for extra therapeutic help for their little ones. Ashley is so loving and caring and will keep your baby safe while helping them reach new potentials!"
